Job summary

West Fraser is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for on-site work in Seaboard, NC. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of industrial equipment, read drawings, and perform preventive maintenance with emphasis on pumps, motors, and conveyors.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of heavy equipment experience; CMMS and hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge are aPlus. This is a full-time, on-site role with rotating shifts and safety training required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience installing, trouble shooting and repairing heavy equipment.
• Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Experience in fabrication, cutting with a torch and welding with an arc welder.
• Manufacturing environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and repair/maintain equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings and instructions.
• Operate and test machinery to verify corrections.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, alignment, and adjustments.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, and rollers.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations; work shifts as scheduled.
