Job summary

Amrize is seeking a skilled Millwright for our Michigan facility to maintain, repair and install heavy industrial equipment. You’ll work shop and field settings, performing alignment, welding, fabrication, and rigging while upholding strict safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years of millwright experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to read blueprints and lift heavy parts. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in a heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of millwright experience
• Safe working attitude and knowledge of workplace safety requirements
• NCCCO Crane Certification (swing, lattice, tower crane)
• Stick (SMAW) and FCAW welding certifications
• Hydraulic systems certification or training
• Precision alignment certification
• Bearing installation certification (SKF, Timken) or equivalent
• 3 years aggregate or bulk material industry experience preferred
• Must weld and fabricate
• Must read blueprints/schematics to determine work procedures
• Ability to make sound decisions and work at heights
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 50 lbs+

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install equipment such as conveyors, gearboxes and bearings
• Perform motor and gearbox alignment and installation
• Construct structures for equipment
• Repair and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul and assembly of crushing components
• Maintain and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery
• Maintain tool/parts inventory
• Rig heavy, large parts for installation
• Use hand or power tools for welding, cutting and piping
• Complete maintenance projects to meet production goals
• Document repairs in spreadsheets
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards
• Follow health, safety and environmental regulations
• Plan operations per blueprints or sketches
