Job summary

Teknikor is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright / Machinery Rigger in Fall River, MA. You will take an industrial machine from delivery or disassembly through positioning, assembly, leveling, anchoring, alignment, and startup support.

Requirements include 5+ years in industrial millwright roles, strong rigging skills with forklifts and chain falls, and proficiency with laser alignment systems and precision gaging. Travel rotations apply for project work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on industrial millwright experience in manufacturing or heavy-industrial environments.
• Experience installing, relocating, leveling, anchoring, assembling, and aligning machinery.
• Strong rigging experience using forklifts, chain falls, jacks, rollers, gantries, and similar equipment.
• Proficiency with precision alignment and measuring tools (laser, dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, levels).
• Able to read mechanical drawings and OEM installation manuals; travel on project rotations.

Responsibilities

• Install, relocate, assemble, and commission industrial machinery per drawings and specs.
• Read drawings, OEM manuals, and field sketches for proper setup.
• Set, level, and anchor equipment on foundations; verify positional accuracy.
• Install and align motors, gearboxes, drives, shafts, and belts; ensure correct alignment.
• Perform precision alignment using lasers and dial indicators; fix soft foot.
• Troubleshoot failures, disassemble and repair equipment, support startups.
• Plan machinery moves using forklifts, jacks, cranes, and rigging gear.
• Inspect rigging gear and lifting fixtures for load safety.
• Weld minor guards and brackets; coordinate with electrical and controls trades.
• Maintain safety: LOTO, confined space, lift planning; report progress to leadership.
