Job summary

Graywolf Integrated Construction Company in Morgan City, LA seeks Journeyman Mechanical Millwrights to install, maintain, repair and move industrial machinery. Read blueprints, perform rigging, and work from layouts and drawings in a heavy industrial setting.

Applicants should have at least four years in heavy industrial mills and five years with steam turbine systems; NCCER credentials are preferred. Must pass pre-hire requirements and work up to 12-hour shifts with safety gear.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Mechanical Millwright and five years experience with steam turbine systems.
• Preferred NCCER credential: written or performance verified or NCCER Certified Plus in Industrial Millwright.
• Ability to identify various machinery and understand their operations.
• Must own a locking toolbox and the tools required for the job.
• Must complete all pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Identify and use rigging equipment safely, including signals.
• Identify fasteners, anchors, gaskets, seals, and install or replace as needed.
• Remove and install bearings and inspect gear boxes.
• Troubleshoot pumps, compressors, and conveyors; perform routine maintenance.
