J.D. Irving, Limited in Dixfield, ME is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to service a large Eastern White Pine sawmill. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, repairing machinery, and improving production uptime.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of industrial maintenance, read blueprints, and can work rotating shifts. Welding certification is a plus; applicants with military training or apprenticeships are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience with stationary production equipment.
• Ability to work in a team while prioritizing safety.
• Welding certification is an asset.
• Ability to work a rotating shift.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Machine troubleshooting, repair, assembly and preventative maintenance.
• Reading blueprints and sketches to fabricate equipment and make modifications.
• Repair or replace chains, conveyors, gear boxes, hydraulics and pneumatics; weld/cut with power tools.
