Job summary

Interfor in Perry, GA seeks skilled, safety-minded Industrial Millwrights to maintain, troubleshoot and improve mill equipment, supporting safe and efficient production operations.

You will read drawings, perform preventive maintenance, weld and fabricate as needed, assess repairs, and collaborate with Operators and Planning to minimize downtime. Earn $29.35–$40.92 per hour plus a quarterly Gainshare Bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of millwright level experience or two-year degree related to field.
• Manufacturing/warehouse/lumber operations experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, climbing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Cut, weld, and perform fabrication work with different types of steel.
• Assess repairs and estimate time frames to complete.
• Repair machinery in a timely manner.
• Identify mechanical and hydraulic problems and assist in finding solutions and making necessary repairs.
• Identify shaft sizes, measure up, and build shafts for replacement.
• Identify and change sprockets, bearings, and chains etc.
• Communicate directly and professionally with operators about how equipment is running to learn about any problems.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with the Planning and Scheduling Departments.
• Adhere to an absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.
• Submit work requests.
• Fill out completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and the time it took to complete the job.

Interfor is seeking skilled, safety-minded, and motivated individuals to join our team as anIndustrial Millwright in Perry, GA. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving industrial equipment throughout the mill to support safe and efficient production operations.

Pay range: $29.35 per hour up to $40.92per hour based on skill level and experience.

Gainshare Bonus: Quarterly performance-based bonus.
