Job summary

Interfor in Perry, GA is seeking an Industrial Millwright to keep our sawmill operating safely and efficiently. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, using mechanical, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication skills to minimize downtime and support production.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of millwright level experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Cut, weld, and perform fabrication work with different types of steel.
• Assess and repair machinery and hydraulic problems in a timely manner.
• Determine shaft sizes, measure up, and build shafts for replacement.
• Recognize and change sprockets, bearings, and chains etc.
• Adhere to an absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.
• Submit work requests and complete work orders.

Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
