Job summary

ASARCO is seeking an Industrial Mill Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across our processing facility. You will work on motors, drives, control circuits, and automated systems to support crushing, conveying, grinding, pumping, and process control in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience and 3+ years in industrial electrical work, preferably in mining or heavy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience is required.
• 3+ years of industrial electrical experience required; mining or heavy industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment supporting heavy mill operations.
• Diagnose complex electrical issues using technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics.
• Inspect, maintain, and service industrial motors, drives, control circuits, and power distribution systems.
• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs and industrial automation systems to ensure peak operational efficiency.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance routines to minimize plant downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
• Follow all company and regulatory safety procedures, maintaining a safety-first mindset across all work activities.
• Respond to emergency callouts, perform routine inspections, and maintain clear records of work performed.
