Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries seeks an Industrial Mechatronics Maintenance Specialist to keep conveyors, robotics, CNCs, and material-handling systems running safely and efficiently. You’ll read schematics, troubleshoot PLCs, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical components across 120V–480V systems.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance, an electromechanical background, and a Journeyman Electrician license preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology or related field; 3–5 years in industrial maintenance.
• Expert troubleshooting on 480V three-phase power with safety-first practices.
• Mechanical knowledge across hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission and heavyduty machinery.
• PLC proficiency: read ladder logic and troubleshoot (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Strong print reading: schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Find and fix issues across conveyors, CNCs, robotics, and material handling systems—electrical and mechanical.
• Use prints, PLC logic, and diagnostic tools to trace root causes and implement lasting solutions.
• Own preventive maintenance: inspect, lubricate, calibrate, and replace wear items on schedule.
• Work on 120V–480V systems, including motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and panels.
• Service hydraulics and pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, belts, and other power transmission components.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs; support building automation as needed.
• Capture maintenance records in the CMMS and ensure clean handoffs between shifts.
• Champion safety—adhere to LOTO, OSHA requirements, and company standards.

As an Industrial Mechatronics Maintenance Specialist, you’ll be the trusted expert who keeps our automation humming, our lines moving, and our people safe.A day in this roleMorning starts with a quick stand-up and a scan of the CMMS to review preventive tasks. On the floor, you’ll inspect a high-usage conveyor, lubricate critical points, and adjust a belt alignment. An alert pops up on a robot cell—using ladder logic and electrical schematics, you isolate a sensor fault, swap the component, and validate I/O. After lunch, production schedules a planned outage; you coordinate with supervisors, verify lockout/tagout, and upgrade a VFD parameter set on a 480V motor control.
