Job summary

Kiewit Industrial District in Lenexa, KS seeks a Mechanical Scope Manager to lead one or more project scope packages, translating strategy into bidder plans and coordinating with trade partners. You’ll guide technical scope, bid processes, and partner relationships while ensuring safe, on-time project execution.

The role requires experience with trade partner contracts, negotiations, and a collaborative approach to enterprise-level agreements.

Qualifications

• General contracting experience with trade partner contract RFPs, commercial evaluations, subcontract negotiations and field transition.
• Ability to lead package teams without assuming functional management of technical personnel.
• Applicable CSA, mechanical or electrical experience for the assigned portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Translate the jointly agreed construction strategy into package and bidder plans; lead trade partner contract RFPs and coordinate, commercial clarifications, bid leveling and negotiations.
• Work with Discipline Excellence on technical scope, constructability, discipline-level trade partner relationships and technical bidder capability validation.
• Integrate Trade Partner Development input on enterprise relationships, portfolio capacity and performance, and applicable enterprise-level agreements.
• Align package terms with applicable prime commitments; document retained risks and commercial exceptions.
• Coordinate with and leverage KSN for contract execution; RFP process for materials, equipment and suppliers.
• Prepare award recommendations that integrate technical acceptance, partner fit, commercial terms and project risk.
• Lead package onboarding and mobilization with Operations; stay involved in field issue resolution and execution support as needed.
