Job summary

GSM Industrial in Lancaster, PA, seeks an Industrial Mechanical Estimator & Project Manager to drive estimating, procurement, and project execution for industrial fabrication and installation projects. You will coordinate between field, shop, and office, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure safety and quality throughout each project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in industrial estimating or related field.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance, rigging, piping, structural steel, machine install and ducting.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and material specifications.
• Project management and computer skills.
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; interpersonal skills.
• Confidence, urgency, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Develops long-lasting relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Calculates estimated costs of material, labor, equipment and services.
• Leads kickoff meetings and defines project scope, schedule and budget.
• Owns scope of work and communicates updates to the project team.
• Procures field materials and non-fabricated parts.
• Coordinates field/shop/shipping activities with office tasks.
• Collaborates with project superintendent to align construction with design, budget, and schedule.
• Plans, coordinates, and supervises onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, materials).
• Ensures timely payment applications and follow-ups on payments.
• Reviews and updates project documents (drawings, addenda, RFIs).
• Monitors safety per OSHA/MSHA and enforces safe practices.
• Oversees quality assurance throughout the project.
• Performs additional duties contributing to project success.
