Job summary

Novelis in Greensboro, GA, is offering a on-site Summer 2027 Mechanical Engineering Internship for about 12 weeks. The EMRA team will involve CAD design, maintenance, and project management activities to gain hands-on industry experience within aluminum production.

The internship emphasizes hands-on work with machinery, safety protocols, and collaboration with Process and Operations teams, with opportunities to work with outside contractors and see the full lifecycle of engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience before graduation.

Responsibilities

• Support the EMRA team with improvements, maintenance and repairs.
• Develop improvements for general engineering processes.
• Use CAD to design tools/equipment and implement changes when possible.
• Generate reports of changes and communicate results to supervisors.
• Collaborate with outside contractors to scope new equipment for plant operations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop safety protocols.
