Job summary

Precision Industrial Contractors, Inc. is actively seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for industrial construction projects.

The role requires strong CAD skills, experience with rotating equipment, instrumentation, and piping, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. Travel to sites will be required, and the candidate must be a US citizen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in heavy industrial construction.
• Experience with pulp & paper, corrugated, food industries.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to document designs.
• US citizenship and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.
• Design production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop and implement process improvements and technological upgrades.
• Design control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
• Develop design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.
• Prepare material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
• Design the layout of facilities.
• Estimate, RFIs, procurement, change order management.
• Review all project-related material; drawings, scope, budget, submittals, and shop drawings for accuracy and contract compliance.
