Job summary

GCP PAPER USA, Inc. in Houston/New Caney, TX seeks a Mechanical Engineer to optimize plant equipment reliability and continuous machinery performance in a high-speed paper converting environment.

You will spend time on the manufacturing floor applying advanced mechanical theory, RCFA investigations, and PdM/PM methodologies, while leading capital projects and providing technical support to maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
• 3+ years' mechanical engineering in continuous process manufacturing.
• English proficiency; Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced mechanical concepts to optimize paper converting machinery.
• Lead RCFA investigations and implement modifications.
• Develop PdM/PM strategies using vibration analysis and thermography.
• Manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, and installations.
• Provide floor-level engineering support during complex overhauls.
