Job summary

Aerotek in Spokane, WA is hiring an Industrial Mechanical Assembler to build large corrugated box machines from blueprints, using hand and power tools. You’ll work on machines from small units to vehicle-sized equipment in a busy shop, on a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule with overtime possible.

This contract-to-hire role offers weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities to grow as you gain experience with hydraulics and mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with standard hand tools and power screwdrivers.
• Distinguish metric vs. standard bolts and apply them correctly.
• Able to work up to a 10-hour shift and tolerate overtime.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to assemble corrugated box machines.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly of machines of varying sizes.
• Use screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, and power screwdrivers for assembly.
• Identify metric and standard bolts and ensure proper fit and fastening.
• Work around and under machines, climb ladders, and handle heavy parts safely.
