Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build and repair mechanical tank equipment. You will read blueprints, wire and conduit, and ensure assemblies meet design/quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires hands-on experience with hand and power tools, plus the ability to follow schedules and perform inspections for quality. This onsite, 2nd/3rd shift position offers full benefits and union-wide stability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Ability to read schematics for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Hands-on assembly experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and safety practices.
• Ability to follow schedules and workflows precisely.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections.
• Ability to write maintenance work orders clearly.
• Organizational skills to keep tools/work area orderly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical tank equipment per blueprints/schematics.
• Perform wiring and conduit installation.
• Carry out repairs on units/parts to restore function.
• Read production schedules and plan daily tasks.
• Stage materials from storage to support assembly.
• Inspect assemblies for conformance to design and quality.
• Use tools safely and accurately during assembly/repair.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and organize tools.
• Write maintenance work orders for issues/ defects.
• Collaborate with team and follow leads to meet goals.
