Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with welding in various positions and environments.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret sketches.

Responsibilities

• Inspects equipment for defects, misalignment, wear, etc.
• Installs bearing, pins, bushings, gears, parts, etc.
• Lubricates equipment on installation and repair.
• Dismantles, cleans, replaces, repairs equipment and piping.
• Molds and aligns components per drawings.
• Operates machine tools and power tools.
• Works in shop or field.
• Makes temporary and permanent repairs.
• Selects materials and equipment for job.
• Lays out work and prepares surfaces to be welded.
• Performs gas and electric welding in all positions.
• Produces welds such as V lap, butt, etc.
• Keeps work area clean.
