Job summary

Arcwood Environmental seeks a Mechanic Technician to own maintenance for the incinerator and related facility equipment at our Texas site, working with Operations, Engineering, EI&A and Mechanics to troubleshoot, plan, and repair equipment.

The role requires 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance, a high-school diploma, and a preferred technical degree in mechanical discipline, with a strong commitment to safety and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Foundational knowledge of and experience with mechanical and process maintenance.
• Commitment to health and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in all maintenance work.
• Performs facility maintenance including pumps, valves, piping and hoses; basic pipefitting.
• Coordinates work with other departments to minimize downtime.
• Leads troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
• Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Available for extended hours and callouts as needed.
