Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and proactive maintenance within a landscape manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical background, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or with teams. candidates should be prepared for day-to-day hands-on work in an on-site Texas facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of experience in installation/maintenance of electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
• Must have a mechanical background and basic electrical understanding (480V & 120V).
• Knowledge of electrical schematics is preferred.
• Must provide own tools (basic hand tools and electrical tools).
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment.
• Maintain equipment safely and effectively for optimal performance.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on control equipment (air cylinders/valves, drives, sensors, motors, gearboxes).
• Collaborate with factory teams on troubleshooting and improvements.
• Ensure safety, productivity, and provide technician training as needed.
