Job summary

Heartland Fabrication, LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain a variety of equipment within the facility. You will inspect, diagnose, fix, and rebuild as necessary, and implement preventative maintenance practices.

Work around production machinery, install and dismantle equipment, and lift heavy parts up to 60 pounds. Collaboration with crew and supervisors occurs in all weather conditions to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/diagnose equipment failures and carry out repairs.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Install and dismantle machinery and equipment.
• Inspect and replace bearings, couplings, belts, pumps, and valves.
• Operate shop equipment such as lathes, welders, drills, grinders.
• Work in environments with extreme noise and weather conditions.
