Walashek Industrial & Marine Inc. is seeking a skilled Marine/Industrial Mechanic to repair and maintain heavy machinery in shipyard environments.

You will read blueprints, diagnose faults, fabricate parts, and perform routine servicing to ensure reliability and safety of marine equipment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or technical training, 3–5 years in industrial/marine settings, and the ability to read drawings and use precision measuring tools.

Formación

• High school diploma or technical training preferred.
• Industrial and/or marine mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to read basic drawings and technical manuals.
• Ability to measure using the metric system.
• TWIC and DBIDS credentials eligible (as required).

Responsabilidades

• Adjust and maintain industrial machinery, using control and regulating devices.
• Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance.
