Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and maintain industrial machinery using control devices.
• Adjust, maintain, repair or replace subassemblies (transmissions, crawler heads) with hand tools, jacks, cranes.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment.
• Assemble gear systems and align frames and gears.
• Clean parts with grease solvent or solvent tanks.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Diagnose faults with engine diagnostic equipment and calibration devices.
• Inspect parts for damage or wear using micrometers and gauges.
• Fabricate parts from sheet metal.
• Fit bearings to repair or overhaul equipment.
• Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects.
• Overhaul and test machines for efficiency.
• Repair and replace damaged parts.
• Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Schedule maintenance and maintain service records; order parts inventory.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure performance and specs.
