Job summary

Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to set up, adjust, and repair production machinery for various runs in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical or industrial maintenance experience.
• Welding experience, TIG and stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems, including water, compressed air, and hydraulic lines.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across multiple types of industrial equipment.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with good time management.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with production and maintenance personnel.
• Ability to safely work at heights up to 25 feet using ladders or man lifts.
• Flexibility to work weekends as required.
• Proficient in voltage systems 120/208/240/480 and equipment diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and prepare production machinery for various products and runs.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Repair, rebuild, and weld equipment and components using TIG and stick welding.
• Perform routine lubrication and maintenance of production equipment.
• Repair and maintain hand trucks and other material-handling equipment.
• Perform general facility maintenance and assist with equipment improvements and maintenance projects.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment following safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
