Job summary

American Axle & Mfg., Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician in Fort Wayne, IN to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on manufacturing equipment. You will work with a skilled team to keep production running and support maintenance requirements.

The role requires experience in production settings, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read blueprints. Overtime and shift flexibility are desired as part of a dynamic automotive manufacturing

Qualifications

Experience in a production environment preferred.
Strong electrical and mechanical problem solving ability.
Welding, sheet metal fabrication and pipe fitting experience.
Reading hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic blueprints.
Good oral and written communication and basic computer skills.
Shift flexibility and willingness to work overtime is desired.

Responsibilities

Support production maintenance for hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment using proper tools and measurements.
Work from drawings and equipment schematics to guide repairs.
Perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
