Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our high-capacity food processing plant in Iowa. You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment and machinery, ensuring uptime and product quality across production lines.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or PLC troubleshooting, and a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 6 months' experience and/or training in one of the listed troubleshooting areas.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment in a food processing environment preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery used in food processing.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, electrical issues, and mechanical failures.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and any additional recommendations.

Requirements

Application and/or resume must show a minimum of 6 months' experience and/or training in one of the following areas: Mechanical troubleshooting, Electrical/Electronic Troubleshooting, Hydraulic Troubleshooting, PLC Troubleshooting and Navigation, Welding/Fabrication, AC/DC Control Wiring, Motor Control, 3 Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Hydraulics, Pneumatic systems.

Note: Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days. Rehires are limited to 3 times of employment.
