Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Dallas, TX, is seeking a PM Technician to perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs on production equipment and facility support systems to keep operations running smoothly.

You will collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability, document CMMS entries, and enforce safety protocols, with shift hours 6am–6pm and a shoe voucher after 60 days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in manufacturing or similar.
• Degree from college, technical college, or military experience.
• Skilled with hand and power tools for disassembly and repair.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments and minor repairs on production equipment.
• Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

Shoe Voucher/Reimbursement AFTER 60 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT

Shift Hours: Sunday-Monday Friday-Saturday 6am-6pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary:
The PM Technician is responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs on production equipment and facility support systems. This position helps improve equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, maintain a safe work environment, and support daily production goals.

Key Performance Expectations
PM completion percentage and on-time work-order completion.

Quality and accuracy of CMMS documentation.

Number of potential failures identified before breakdown.

Compliance with LOTO, PPE, and plant safety requirements.

Reduction in repeat failures and emergency repairs.

Good communication with production and maintenance teams.

Proper housekeeping, tool control, and parts usage.

Manufacturing Example
PM Tech may inspect motors, lubricate bearings, check gearbox oil level, verify heater bands and thermocouples, inspect pneumatic cylinders and air leaks, confirm guards and emergency stops function correctly, tighten electrical connections as permitted, and document any worn belts, leaking fittings, or abnormal vibration for planned repair. These activities align with the standard PM focus on inspection, servicing, early fault detection, documentation, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (3) year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment
• Related degree from a college, technical college, or military experience
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools; ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
