Qualifications

Role Description The Industrial Maintenance Technician – Welding or Electrical is a full-time, on-site role located at AluChem’s facility in Cincinnati, OH. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and plant systems to support safe and efficient operations. Daily tasks may include performing mechanical and electrical diagnostics, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and completing welding or fabrication work on machinery and structural components, depending on specialization. The technician will inspect equipment for wear, follow maintenance schedules, document work performed, and collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime. The role also involves adhering to safety procedures, assisting with equipment installations or upgrades, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications

• Technical maintenance skills: Experience with industrial equipment maintenance, mechanical repair, and troubleshooting of production machinery.
• Welding or electrical expertise: Proficiency in welding and fabrication or electrical systems maintenance, including reading blueprints or electrical schematics.
• Safety and compliance: Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Tools and diagnostics: Ability to use hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and maintenance-related equipment effectively.
• Problem-solving and communication: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with supervisors, peers, and other departments.
• Education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in industrial maintenance, welding, or electrical is preferred. Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly beneficial.
• Work style: Ability to work on-site, stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and respond to maintenance needs on various shifts as required.
