Job summary

Veritas Steel in Eau Claire is seeking Maintenance Technicians to maintain and repair heavy equipment including welding equipment, cranes and forklifts. Start pay ranges from $28.52 to $38.52 per hour, with a 1st shift schedule 5:00am-4:20pm Mon-Thurs and overtime potential after 50 hours.

Company benefits, PPE, and retirement plans are provided. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with other departments to keep equipment running efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred 3+ years of experience in maintenance.
• Experience with welding equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
• Strong Electrical knowledge.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work
• Communicate with other departments to ensure equipment is running efficiently
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Continuously improve maintenance processes
• Other duties as assigned
