Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Illinois is seeking a maintenance mechanic to perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This union role ensures all equipment operates safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance, following diagrams, reading manuals, and troubleshooting malfunctions.

The position requires mechanical and electrical skills; forklift training will be provided.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Mechanical and electrical proficiency.
• Welding skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safe condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds.
• Construct fixtures as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled.
• Repair facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds.
• Remove/install fixtures and equipment for safe operation.
• Troubleshoot systems to identify causes of failures and recommend repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and efficiency of maintenance tools and fixtures.
• Other duties will be assigned as needed.
