Job summary

ONCALL Staffing Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Manager with installation, repair, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and facility systems.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting, with knowledge of industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety procedures. Candidates should be safety-conscious and able to work independently.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems – 480V / 3-phase.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Ability to follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Safety-conscious and dependable.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to make decisions independently.
• Able to work effectively and respectfully with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational readiness of facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Perform and assist with preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and assist with repairs involving: Industrial electrical systems, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Mechanical equipment.
• Assist with installation, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment.
• Follow established maintenance procedures.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Assist with maintaining maintenance parts and inventory.
• Help reduce equipment downtime and improve operational uptime.
• Perform general facility maintenance and housekeeping.
• Safely operate forklifts, manlifts, and other equipment as needed.
• Assist with fabrication, welding, plumbing, and other maintenance-related tasks.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
