Job summary

Haynes International is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Indiana to repair and maintain machinery and equipment, diagnose issues from sounds and test results, and perform preventative maintenance. The role requires reading diagrams, following instructions, and certifying in forklift and overhead crane operation.

Ideal candidates will handle mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, follow safety rules, and contribute to efficient production flow.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
• Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be certified or become certified in forklift operation and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment using hand and power tools.
• Measure and test instruments and inspect parts.
• Identify causes of trouble by listening to equipment in operation.
• Dismantle devices to access defective parts using hoists and cranes.
• Lubricate, clean, and adjust components for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure compliance with plant rules and customer service flow.
• Participate in preventative maintenance and suggest improvements.
