Job summary

Chief Industries, including Chief Buildings, is seeking a Mainten­ance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and industrial equipment in Indiana. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and independent work, with responsibilities across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

The position supports a broad range of building solutions and requires the ability to read manuals and operate basic maintenance tools.

Qualifications

• Proficient in mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and foundational electrical knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and industrial maintenance practices.
• Competent in reading manuals/drawings and writing detailed reports.
• Basic welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and industrial equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
• Install and modify equipment and perform maintenance including electrical conduit systems and wiring.
• Read equipment manuals/drawings to make repairs and adjustments.
• Use basic electrical and mechanical maintenance tools.
• Manage parts and supply requisitions and document in the CMMS.
