Job summary

McDonald Plastic Molding, a subsidiary of A.Y. McDonald Industries, is seeking a Plant Engineer/Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery and facilities.

You will work with safety, production, and outside contractors to keep operations running, monitor cooling and utility systems, and respond to emergencies, with on-call nights and weekends. Bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience, in a family-oriented manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1–2 years related experience.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and repair.
• Ability to work extended hours including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair, maintenance and installation of machines and equipment.
• Maintain utility systems to ensure continuous production.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Keep facilities in safe and compliant condition.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for installation and repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Read electrical and mechanical prints.
• Work across shifts to maintain continuity.
