Job summary

McDonald Plastic Molding, a growing injection molding company and subsidiary of A.Y. McDonald Industries, is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to install, maintain and repair machinery, facilities, and pipe and electrical systems in our manufacturing plant.

You will work with safety, production, and engineering teams, read electrical and hydraulic prints, and coordinate with outside contractors. A Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years related experience are typical, with on-call nights and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in plant maintenance and electrical/mechanical systems is preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical machine prints (American and foreign prints).
• Willingness to work extended hours and be on call nights and weekends when emergencies arise.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems to support production operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment; coordinate with production and other departments.
• Assist with safety audits and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for installation/repair work and communicate needs across departments.
• Maintain continuity of maintenance operations across shifts and respond to emergencies.
