Job summary

MATTR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability, safety and performance of plant equipment and facilities. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, participate in asset management and sustainment programs, and support refurbishment activities to minimize downtime.

You will follow reliability-centered maintenance practices, maintain documentation, and work with suppliers and internal teams to keep electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and facility

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Millwright/Welder with at least 3 years in an industrial environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong maintenance knowledge across mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and building systems.
• Experience using maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment used in production.
• Support Asset Management by maintaining assets and improving reliability.
• Follow daily inspection routines based on reliability-centered maintenance.
• Perform functional testing after refurbishment activities.
• Lead and support refurbishment activities and maintenance shop operations.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and support sourcing of parts.
• Coordinate maintenance with suppliers and external partners.
• Maintain facility systems including electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, air, water, heating and cooling.
• Assist with fire protection systems and safety equipment.
• Rebuild and adjust portable tools and production equipment as needed.
• Maintain purchase logs, maintenance records and process sheets.
• Participate in daily safety and maintenance meetings.
• Follow maintenance procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
