Job summary
The Dow Chemical Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Beaumont or Orange, Texas. You will provide maintenance support for plant equipment, diagnose issues, and perform calibrated alignment and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year experience with pumps, blowers, hydraulics, and pneumatics, plus a valid US forklift license. This is a on-site role with potential overtime and no visa sponsorship.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 1+ years of experience with basic process equipment (pumps, blowers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems).
- Must have a current, valid US driver’s license to drive a forklift.
- Must be able to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- No visa sponsorship is available for this US position.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and corrects equipment problems.
- Calibrates and aligns equipment.
- Completes preventive maintenance activities.
- Checks sizing of components and parts.
- Specifies, requisitions, and installs parts and equipment.
- Coordinates maintenance spare parts.
- Assists in planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
