Job summary

The Wenger Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment at our Souderton facility. You will address mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues, perform alignments and rebuilds, and minimize downtime through prompt repairs.

You will execute preventive maintenance, complete CMMS work orders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and Lean practices, ensuring compliance with food safety and GMP

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues on production equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing saws, slicers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, packaging equipment, vacuum sealers, scales, labelers, printers, and metal detectors.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair saws, slicers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, packaging equipment, vacuum sealers, scales, labelers, printers, and metal detectors.
• Perform intermediate-level electrical work involving motors, sensors, switches, and control wiring.
• Conduct equipment alignments, adjustments, and rebuilds as needed.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete and maintain work orders, PM checklists, and parts usage records within the CMMS system.
• Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance programs, SOPs, and parts standardization.
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and reliability programs.
• Provide feedback regarding equipment upgrades and process improvements.
