Job summary

Paycom seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Great Lakes Division Plant 1 in Sparta, MI. The role covers a broad range of installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and facilities, with emphasis on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing PLC controls, welding, operating forklifts, and maintaining records. Candidates must read schematics, perform basic math, and comply with safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Reading, writing and basic shop math.
Experience or training in use of testing equipment.
Experience in proper use of tools.
Valid forklift license.
Valid Crane license.
Valid Aerial license.
Valid Lock Out Tag Out License.
Basic hydraulic and welding experience.

Responsibilities

Performs mechanical operations to install, maintain and repair die cast machines, furnaces, compressors, trim presses, machine tools and other equipment.
Diagnoses and corrects difficulties encountered in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical operation of equipment.
Installs, adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical equipment and controls including PLC equipment.
Inspects machines and equipment and prepares reports following standard procedures.
Welds and operates forklift as required.
Wastewater management including monitoring and clean-up.
Puts continuous improvement into practice and communicates issues to leadership.
