Job summary

Matheson Tri-Gas seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment in safe, optimal condition and monitor performance. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs, and assisting with new equipment installation in a manufacturing setting.

Applicants should have 4+ years of maintenance experience, knowledge of hydraulics, reciprocating screw compressors, electrical systems, and robotics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing environment, preferably extrusion or compression.
• Experience with hydraulics, screw compressors, mechanics, electrical systems and troubleshooting PLCs.
• Robotics experience is a plus.
• Experience with large ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment in safe, optimal operating condition.
• Conduct continuous monitoring of production and process equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair from manuals or vendor specs.
• Adjust machines and set up changes for manufacturing systems.
• Determine corrective actions based on PLC display messages.
• Assist with installation, testing, and validation of new equipment.
• Follow Process Safety Management procedures and maintain records.
• Oversee equipment changeovers and notify management of issues.
• Assist with training of employees in proper equipment use.
• Keep repair areas organized and help colleagues with tasks.
