Job summary

Morris Packaging, LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment within a climate-controlled facility. The role involves preventive maintenance, equipment installations, and safety inspections on a busy plant floor.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with electrical systems, and the ability to read blueprints. Overtime may be required; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions.
• Familiarity with electrical aspects and troubleshooting electronics.
• Ability to work overtime as required and meet deadlines.
• Independent and self-motivated with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Design, implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment and tools.
• Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and management requirements.
• Monitor compliance and communicate maintenance needs to production teams.
• Perform daily safety and functionality inspections of all machinery.
• Lead routine maintenance tasks and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
