Job summary

Petoskey Plastics seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain manufacturing equipment, perform preventive and reactive maintenance, and document activities in the work order system.

The ideal candidate will have a two-year technical degree and at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with PLC, AC/DC drive troubleshooting, hydraulics/pneumatics, and welding skills. You will support continuous improvement and safe operations across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree required.
• Minimum 5 years industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• AC/DC drive troubleshooting to board level.
• Experience with Epicor or similar maintenance databases.

Responsibilities

• Maintain manufacturing equipment and perform preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Repair equipment per management requests and priorities; update work orders.
• Provide operator equipment training when needed and ensure safe operations.
• Identify areas for improvement and plan improvement projects with management and safety committee.
• Read and interpret ladder logic, schematics, and IO signals; diagnose root cause and implement permanent fixes.
