Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician for its Kentucky facility. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair facility equipment while following Tyson policies and maintaining a safe work environment.

The role requires electrical/motor focus, PLC familiarity, and the ability to read schematics. You will work off shifts including weekends/holidays, with opportunities for lean process improvements and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (focus on electrical/motors) or graduate from an Industrial Maintenance program or related discipline.
• Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehiring waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

• Repair, modification and improvement of facility and production equipment with proper and precision techniques.
• Provide corrective actions to all levels of equipment/system failures utilizing root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to fabricate and weld various types of metals is a plus.
• Utilize the CMMS to develop and execute maintenance activities and follow-up.
• Safely perform work, including adherence to Tyson Foods policies such as LOTO, Arc-Flash, hot work permit and confined space entry.
• Work with Maintenance Supervisors and Planners to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Read PLCs, blueprints, ladder logic, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics to troubleshoot machines and improve systems.
