Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance B to join the Billings Montana Plant team.

You will support plant operations, perform maintenance tasks, and help ensure equipment runs reliably and safely in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards. The role requires mechanical aptitude, willingness to work overtime and be on-call for emergencies, and the ability to work within a team focused on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical/technical knowledge/skills.
• Must be able to read and understand the material.
• Basic mathematical/analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of chemistry.
• Experience in welding is a plus.
• Computer literate – must know basic computer skills.
• Ability to logically discuss equipment issues with vendor technical support personnel to facilitate timely repairs.
• Must be organized and thorough, andable to organize and maintain parts storage areas.
• Must be willing to work overtime when maintenance requirements dictate, and must be available for short-notice call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Be a vital part of our plant's PSM program, conduct inspections and maintain documentation.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of plant equipment and instrumentation.
• Assist with maintaining necessary maintenance supplies.
• Contain, clean up, package and label waste according to HAZWOPER training and OSHA, NDEQ, RCRA, HM-126, MSHA and DOT regulations.
• Report irregularities to management for corrective actions.
• Participate in the plant safety program, including safety meetings, hazard reporting and monthly inspections.
• Assist routine inspection of vessels and equipment to prevent failures.
• Assist in plant projects including maintenance, turnaround, lock out/tag out, and confined space entries.
• Implement an Emergency Response Plan and assist in mitigation of emergencies.
• Perform new facility start-up maintenance activities and create equipment files.
• Assist with maintenance shop setup and procurement of spare parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer recommendations and supervisor instructions.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and schedule contractor assistance.
• Maintain a work order system to prioritize repairs.
• Utilize plant equipment to clear snow and remove ice during inclement weather.
• Set the tone for safety and work ethics within the maintenance department.
• Assist rebuilding pumps per IOM manuals.
• Assist planning and execution of turnaround maintenance.
• Monitor contract personnel for safe practices.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management.
