Job summary

North Coast Seafoods operates in seafood manufacturing with a Production Maintenance Mechanic role focused on inspecting, maintaining, and repairing processing equipment in our plants in Massachusetts. The technician will work under the Facilities Maintenance Manager and assist other factory mechanics, using hand and power tools daily.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks, plus the ability to read safety and operation manuals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance/line mechanics.
• Experience with packaging and/or bagging equipment preferred.
• Diverse background in mechanical, electrical and plumbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots machinery.
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Replaces parts of machines as needed.
• Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
• Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.
• Performs conveyor belt maintenance and repair.
• Performs electrical work such as electric motor replacement, basic industrial wiring & troubleshooting.
• Performs mechanical work to include bearing replacement, gearing, sprockets and roller chains, belts.
