Job summary

Amcor is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Oshkosh, WI to maximize production output through preventive maintenance and repair of electrical systems. The role requires installing and troubleshooting electrical equipment, reading blueprints, and supporting R&D and operations teams to keep lines running safely.

Shifts follow a 2-2-3 schedule with days or nights; benefits start day one, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, life/AD&D, disability, EAP, and a generous 401(k) match.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Industrial Electrician experience or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley 500 and 5000).
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to wire industrial machinery up to 480 volts.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities.
  • Perform repairs on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Create and manage work orders using SAP.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing process issues to maximize output.
  • Support development projects with R&D, manufacturing teams, and outside vendors.
  • Serve as a technical resource for plant personnel.
