Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running safely and reliably. You will diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while hands-on with industrial equipment to minimize downtime.

The role involves 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation with overtime on weekends and holidays, and requires experience with VFDs, PLCs, motors, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs, motors, motor controllers, and drives.
• Knowledge of single- and three-phase systems up to 480 volts.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Computer skills for maintenance documentation and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain advanced equipment including VFDs, PLCs, motors, and instrumentation.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Understand corrugated manufacturing process and identify board-related production issues.
• Use MP2 CMMS to manage work orders and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals.
• Complete minor facility repairs including plumbing and lighting.
