International Paper is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Tipton, IN plant. The role requires hands-on maintenance of conveyors, presses, stackers, and other equipment, with a rotating third shift and weekends as part of a training-to-night-shift plan.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and fabricate parts as needed to support production. Strong safety adherence and multi-project capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Candidate must have technical skills in all disciplines of industrial maintenance.
• Working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment.
• Must have good working knowledge of various meters (volt/amp meters, schematics, dial calipers, heat sensing guns, etc.)
• Able to work on computer systems for maintenance processes, work orders, and spare part inventory.

Responsabilités

• Safely provide maintenance support to our fast-paced Sheet Facility and follow safety processes at all times.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to align with production schedules.
• Read mechanical prints and electrical diagrams; repair mechanical and electrical components.
• Fabricate parts using welding (arc and gas) and adjust equipment to improve productivity.
• Identify unusual sounds indicating potential trouble and dismantle equipment for access to defective parts.
• Operate tools to fabricate and repair parts.
