TalentSource is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across three locations in the South Bend area. The role involves preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and coordinating with outside service providers when specialized repairs are needed.

The ideal candidate reads equipment schematics and manuals, collaborates with production and leadership, and prioritizes maintenance across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facility machinery, vehicles, and material-handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair industrial equipment including fabrication machinery, sewing machines, thermalforming equipment, packaging systems, and gas ovens.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair company trucks and forklifts as needed.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs.
• Source, order, and track replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and manuals.
• Communicate maintenance status and priorities to production teams and leadership.
• Support safe equipment operation by addressing hazards promptly.
• Maintain organized maintenance records of work performed.
• Travel between three locations as needed.
