Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum facility in Savannah, GA is seeking motivated maintenance technicians to join our safety‑minded team. This role supports uptime and efficiency for a high‑volume gypsum production site.

Shifts are 12‑hour rotating days and nights, four on/four off, with weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Days run 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; Nights run 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. The team values safety and reliable equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment or military equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting in a team environment.
• Experience with Preventive, Predictive, and Proactive maintenance.
• Experience using precision maintenance tools such as laser alignment tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion and minimize equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems with a collaborative operations team.
• Install and repair mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts and couplings.
• Read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, tachometers, and dial indicators.
• Welding on an as-needed basis.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and wear appropriate safety equipment.
• Perform physical tasks for up to 12 hours in a loud industrial environment.
