Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Plywood facility in Gurdon, Arkansas. This skilled hourly role maintains machinery to support production goals and uptime, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, reads diagrams and manuals, and can operate hand and power tools as well as arc welding. Willingness to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery to improve uptime.
• Work with motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, conveyors, and line equipment.
• Read diagrams, manuals, and specs for installations.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.
• Weld with arc welder and cut with torch.
• Troubleshoot bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors.
• Follow plant safety and environmental guidelines; shift/overtime as required.
